چکیده

Claw pole machines (CPMs) have the advantages of a simple structure and low cost; therefore, they are commonly used in electric vehicles (EV). However, methods to improve reliability efficiency should be studied. So, new type hybrid excitation claw machine (HE-CPM) for EV is proposed. The permanent magnet (PM) inserted rotor, field winding placed on front back ending cover. Because flux path proposed three-dimensional (3D) 3D finite element analysis (FEA) time-consuming, equivalent circuit (MEC) method considering rotor position results between MEC FEA compared. Particle swarm optimization (PSO) combined design HE-CPM. optimized prove effectiveness method. Finally, density distribution, electromagnetic characteristics HE-CPM evaluated. thermal mechanical stress carried out. prototype was manufactured. direct current (DC) bus voltages under different currents load measured compared with those FEA. When armature 7 A 4 A, respectively, rated power speed 10.28 kW 3000 rpm, respectively. maximum 89%. basically consistent experimental results. Accurate time savings can achieved by combining PSO MEC.

Optimization Design and Performance Analysis of a PM Brushless Rotor Claw Pole Motor with FEM

Abstract: A new type of permanent magnet (PM) brushless claw pole motor (CPM) with soft magnetic composite (SMC) core is designed and analyzed in this paper. The PMs are mounted on the claw pole surface, and the three-phase stator windings are fed by variable-frequency three-phase AC currents. The advantages of the proposed CPM are that the slip rings on the rotor are cast off and it can achiev...

Design, Construction and Performance Evaluation of the Walnut Cracking Machine

The traditional method in Iran of cracking walnut manually, using harmer or knife cutter is laborintensive, slow and tedious; besides, most mechanical crackers do not give satisfactory results in terms of kernel extraction quality. A prototype machine was developed to crack walnut. A walnut cracker was designed, constructed and tested to evaluate its performance. The cracker, which consists of ...

Design and Evaluation of a Hybrid Reality Performance

In this paper we introduce a multimodal platform for Hybrid Reality live performances: by means of non-invasive Virtual Reality technology, we developed a system to present artists and interactive virtual objects in audio/visual choreographies on the same real stage. These choreographies could include spectators too, providing them with the possibility to directly modify the scene and its audio...

Using Modular Pole for Multi-Objective Design Optimization of a Linear Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor by Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO)

In this paper particle swarm optimization (PSO) is used for a design optimization of a linear permanent magnet synchronous motor (LPMSM) considering ultra low thrust force ripples, low magnet consumption, improved efficiency and thrust. The influence of PM material is discussed, too and the modular poles are proposed to achieve the best characteristic. PM dimensions and material, air gap and mo...
